Nikhef is the National Institute for Subatomic Physics. Our researchers research the elementary building blocks of our universe, their mutual forces and the structure of space and time.

Want to find out more about our research? We organise a lot of outreach activities at Nikhef in Amsterdam and across the country and our website also provides information about (astro)particle physics outreach activities organised by other research institutes such as CERN and universities.
